Belinelli becomes first Spur to win three-point contest

While San Antonio Spurs guard Marco Belinelli had very slow starts in the first two rounds of the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, he finished strong amid a few airballs and managed to put up his best round, finishing with 24 points in the tie-breaker with Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

In the first round, Belinelli had two shots hit nothing but air and missed four straight on the fourth rack, before topping everyone in the West with 19.

It looked like he had it won in the final as he put up another 19 and Beal was struggling throughout the round until he knocked down six straight threes to match Belinelli's score.

Beal only managed 18 in the tie-breaker as Belinelli became the first Spurs player to win the contest.
