When you have four NBA titles to your name and one NBA Finals MVP trophy on your resume, you’d think you wouldn’t have many detractors. However, when it comes to the best point guards currently in the NBA, San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker often gets overlooked.
When naming the best point guards in the NBA, many look at Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, or Kyrie Irving. But none of them have the NBA resume like Parker yet he gets overlooked.
But don’t tell that to Pelicans’ Austin Rivers who came to Parker’s defense.
It’s funny how when people talk about the best point, they leave out Tony P, but then after the playoffs they put him back in, TP is real!!

Rivers is right. TP is real as real can get!
Why is it No. 9 doesn’t gets the recognition he deserves every NBA season? One would think with the accomplishments he has garnered, he would be heads above the rest.
After this title run for the Spurs, many outside of San Antonio have now gone on to give the team the recognition they deserve. And now that TP has title No. 4 under his belt, heading into next season, the respect level for Parker will shoot through the roof.
In the end, like the Spurs culture, I highly doubt Parker cares if he gets recognized or not. All he cares about are championships.
Because in the end, that’s all that matters.
