Spurs’ Green ‘blessed’ to be coached by two of the best

Most players are grateful to learn from one coaching legend, but what do you when you have been lucky enough to learn from two of the best, who both recently reach large milestones in their coaching careers?

If you are San Antonio Spurs' Danny Green you thank the universe for having the chance to be coached by two legends.

Much like Tim Duncan, Green is an example of what happens when a player stays for all four years of his college eligibility.

Unlike a lot of the one and done freshmen, Green was able to mature and learn how to handle the ups and down that occur in a playing career.

Green learned how to play with in the team concept, while being able to take over when needed, a trait that aided his acclimation in to the San Antonio Spurs system.

His college experience gave him the confidence to handle being released by the Cleveland Cavaliers (may have been a blessing in disguise) by not questioning his talent and skills, but the ability to keep on grinding until the Spurs called.

He is now making the best of this opportunity and making progress to becoming a key part of the Spurs' march to the NBA Finals this season.

Perhaps he'll take the lessons he gained from two coaching greats and help the Spurs' playoff run and possibly get a nice shiny NBA championship ring to go with two NCAA championship rings.
