According to French site FFBB.com, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker was hit above his right knee during a practice session with Team France and will sit out the team's next exhibition game versus Spain.
The injury is reported to be not serious and Parker is being held out of the game against Spain only as a precaution. He should be ready to go for the French squad at the upcoming EuroBasket tournament next month.
However, this isn't the first time Parker (or another Spur playing with their national team) has been injured this summer.
The same can be said for Aron Baynes who suffered a hamstring injury while with Team Australia which forced him to sit out play with Australia.
Parker will be logging in quite the number of minutes heading into Spurs training camp. Not only did he play in the NBA Finals (which went seven games), he has been playing with Team France for most of the summer, will be at EuroBasket 2013 next month and will then have to gear up for the Spurs upcoming training camp.
