Popovich still waiting for bad finals memories to go away

Gregg Popovich can't stop thinking about that game, where that thing happened — you know that game with the 3-pointer thing and … I'll just stop there.

Via ESPN (Insider)

"I’ve thought about it every day," Popovich said "I’m anxious for it to go away. It hasn’t happened yet."

ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Tom Haberstroh compiled an oral history of the final 28.2 seconds of Game 6 — with quotes from LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Erik Spoelstra, Ray Allen, Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and, well you get the picture.

The always eloquent Duncan described Allen's shot as "painful." Ginobili said it was "bad, very bad."

Meanwhile, I will be holed in my house somewhere, watching re-runs of Breaking Bad until I forget this game happened, or pizza arrives … whichever comes first.
