The San Antonio Spurs roster now stands at 19 after they waived guard Sherron Collins today.
Collins was a late addition to the training camp roster, signing with the Spurs on Monday.
While he likely didn't have much time to make much of a dent or show off his skills too much outside of an open scrimmage, Collins was likely on the outside looking in from the beginning, with so many guards signed to the Spurs roster.
Collins could land in the D-League with the Toros if he is on the list of the three players the Toros have listed that are in Spurs training camp. Last year that was the case with Thomas Gardner and if Collins chooses to go the D-League route, Spurs fans may have a chance to see him at the Cedar Park Center next season as the Toros look to repeat as D-League Champions.
The Spurs are still four cuts away from a maximum of 15 allowable players, 12 active and three inactive. There will likely be another cut or two after the Spurs play their first preseason game against Montepaschi Siena tomorrow night.
