Spurs license plates available this fall

For the true die-hard San Antonio Spurs fan, the Spurs fan shop probably doesn’t even have a fraction of what you may want to truly represent your Spurs fandom.

Spurs platesMany Spurs fans even take that as far as their vehicles, sporting custom wraps, window flags, bumper stickers and even license plate frames.

But in the fall, you can sport the silver and black on your license plate, not around it.

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has approved the sale of Spurs license plates. The plates have the Spurs’ secondary logo on the left with the “San Antonio Spurs” word mark in reverse letters across the bottom.

The plates will be available in the fall, and you can register at myplates.com for updates on the release date of the plates, which will run $55 per year.

From a designer’s perspective, I can’t help but think the plates could’ve been designed better, but I’m sure Spurs fans will buy them up quickly, and hopefully they won’t have to wait too long before they can start showing them off at Spurs games.
