Spurs announce broadcast schedule

So the lockout is officially over and players are back in training camp, but all you want to know is, when can I start watching them again.

The San Antonio Spurs released their broadcast schedule for the lockout-shortened season today, with 58 games being broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest, five games on KENS TV and two games on CW35.

The Spurs home preseason game vs. the Houston Rockets (Dec. 21) will tip-off coverage on FSSW at 7:30 p.m. Fans can tune in to watch opening night on Dec. 26 at 7:30 p.m. when the Spurs begin the 2011-12 campaign at the AT&T Center against the Memphis Grizzlies. FOX Sports Southwest is also where fans can see the Spurs in their road matchups against the Miami Heat (Jan. 17) and the Boston Celtics (April 4).

Highlighting KENS coverage will be games against the Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. CW35 broadcasats include a March 16 game against the Thunder and april 14 match against the Phoenix Suns.

Play-by-play announcer Bill Land and analyst Sean Elliott will call the action this season…Spurs games can also be heard all season long on WOAI 1200-AM with Bill Schoening and in spanish on KCOR 1350-AM with Paul Castro.

It looks like it’s time to set those DVRs and plan trips to local sports bars on game nights yet again.
