Report: Blazers interested in Spurs’ Lindsey for vacant GM spot

It appears San Antonio Spurs assistant GM Dennis Lindsey remains in high demand.

The search to fill the vacant Portland Trail Blazers GM position continues and according to Yahoo! Sports, the Blazers have received permission to speak with Spurs’ Lindsey:

Portland has also received permission to interview Spurs assistant GM Dennis Lindsey, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Lindsey has spoken to Blazers officials by phone, but no formal face-to-face has yet been scheduled, a source said.

This isn’t the first time the Blazers have tapped into the Spurs ranks. Kevin Pritchard was a scout with the Spurs before becoming the Blazers’ GM in 2003.

Portland has also spoken with Oklahoma City Thunder executive Troy Weaver.
