As the San Antonio Spurs wait to hear the decision from free agent Josh Howard on where he will be playing during this shortened season, one this is for sure, if the Spurs were looking at small forward Reggie Williams as a backup plan, they will have to look elsewhere.
According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, Williams short list doesn’t include San Antonio.
The Spurs were reportedly looking at Williams as a potential replacement should Richard Jefferson be a victim of the team’s amnesty clause.
And if you are keeping score, so far Caron Butler, Grant Hill and Vince Carter all have passed on possibly joining the Spurs. So if Howard decides not to wear the black and silver this upcoming season, perhaps Jefferson will be staying on with the team seeing how he is the only viable option left.
What do you have to say Spurs fans? Will you be OK with RJ staying on with the team should the Spurs not find a suitable replacement?
