  • Forbes – The decade is coming to a close and a number of “Best of the Decade” lists are coming out. Forbes looks at the best, and worst, sports franchises of the decade. I’ll give you one guess who comes out on top.
  • Bleacher Report – Another top team of the decade list. Another selection as number one for the Spurs.
  • NBA.com – A panel of 107 Hall of Famers, major award winners, executives, current players and coaches and other basketball experts picked the top 50 players in the NBA today. The Spurs were one of two teams with four players to make the list.
  • NBA.com – The Spurs assigned Malik Hairston to the Austin Toros. It will be interesting to see how they manage him this year.
  • Express-News – The Spurs defense looked good during their recent five game win streak, moving them up the rankings in points allowed and defensive field goal percentage.
  • Express-News – Mike Monroe talks about the Spurs offensive strength this season. I found the last few paragraphs, where Pop talks about letting his point guards call more plays than in the past, the most interesting of the whole article.
  • The Onion – Tim Duncan calls out geometric angle needed to make a bank shot. I love The Onion.
  • ESPN (Insider) – John Hollinger puts together his all-underrated team with George Hill as the starting shooting guard. Even though Hill has been playing as point guard, I agree that he still plays more as a shooting guard.
  • 48MoH – Timothy Varner analyzes the Spurs loss against the Celtics. He brings up an interesting question regarding the managing of Duncan and Ginobili’s minutes.
  • 48MoH – Timothy Varner takes a closer look at the Spurs recent five game win streak.
  • PTR – Wayne Vors gives an inside look at the Austin Toros. If you haven’t been to a Toros game and have a chance to, take it.
